I'd offer an opinion, but I discovered in the HCB-portrait thread that one
man's meat is another man's poison in this field.  I will say that his
portaits are substantially, uh, simpler than HCB's.  And most of his
subjects must move in different circles than I do (i.e. who the heck are
they?)  The whole thing smells suspiciously of art...
