I've a 50+ year old model that still goes out as a point-and-shoot and have gotten exhibition quality results from it. For glass I prefer the faster Summitar over the Elmar. The lens is collapsible, but the "official" shade is a godawful rectangular affair. I'm now on my second Summitar. The first developed enough internal crud to affect the picture quality, and replacement was a bit more cost effective than repair. Also, you should start laying in a supply of the Leitz fim cassettes. Modern canisters are a bit shorter and will cause the perf holes to appear along the top of the film frame.
