[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]The new Cosina / Voigtlander lenses are 'competitive' here, i.e., 300 UKP each, same as the 15mm but 100 UKP more than the 25. They will trigger the M viewfinder frames correctly providing they're siting on the correct adapters of course! As Cosina make all three varients, you merely have to ensure that the dealer can read and interpret the correct mount for each lens, i.e., if it says 28/50, he shouldn't sell you that to mount the 35 onto the camera. It will focus correctly but trigger the 35 and 135mm frame lines. Thanks for the welcome back but as my work is coming quickly to overload proportions (the first time since I've gone freelance) I may well be logging off in the not too distant future, evenings may well become 'second job' time! best regards, Jem - -----Original Message----- From: Gwpics@aol.com [SMTP:Gwpics@aol.com] Sent: 21 October 1999 08:36 To: leica-users-digest@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] UK Konica RF details This would put the Konica way above the price of the Cosina/Voigtlander which is already doing the rounds of the camera dealers in the hands of the reps. My own dealer tells me that he has handled a couple of the new lenses (75mm & ?90mm) which he describes as "very nice" with a solid feel. Interestingly they couple with frame lines on the M6 etc. and an additional shoe mounted viewfinder is available at an extra cost. I assume this is to make them usable with the existing Cosina/Voigtlander body which has no viewfinder of its own. Prices are described as "very competitive" and in line with the 15mm lens (?299 - about $480) Nice to see you back on the board, Jem Gerry
