Wetzlar, as Nathan mentioned is a long ways from Munich. It sounds like
you are planning a trip south, so I wouldn't bother. Munich is filled
with quite a few rather nice Leica shops and I would check out those.

If you come to Zurich or Lake Constance (about four hours by train from
Munich) then you should stop by. We live right on the Swiss border and
Konstanz and Zurich are both about half an hour away. It's a lovely area
with lots to see.

March is still a bit cold and wet, but April and May tend to be quite
nice and definitely free of crowds. In the Alps you can still ski well
until April.
