A camera that doesn't use batteries doesn't need a fancy on-off switch. Furthermore, I'm not convinced that flash is widely used among Leica photographers. One of the advantages of the camera is is unobstrusiveness, and this is negated by a flash. You're just pushing the M6 more and more towards the SLR world, while eliminating its unique advantages.
