The Pradix was introduced in 1963 and was dropped in 1976. An interesting piece, as it had an aspherical condensor and, off the top of my head, I cannot think of an earlier use by Leitz of aspherical optics. It was available with the standard 2.8/85 Elmaron lens (31403), a 2.8/100 Elmaron (31400) (dropped in the later 1960's, probably as the 150W bulb couldn't project brightly enough to allow full use of this lens) or with a 2.8/50 Elmar, replaced with an Elmaron in 1966 (31456). The price for the 31403 was $81 in 1972, around $200 or a bit more today. Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
