It is the preferred choice of the FBI and CIA and many other agencies. American made and better than the Schneider, according to Pop Photo, Photo District News, the FBI, CIA, and many others. (Maxwell is a small optic assembler in Georgia. He can be reached at 404-244-0095). Editors use the Schneider because it is good and they can buy them from B&H. It is not as gopod as the Maxwell, and I have used both. While I know this will generate flames from those who own the Schneider, I am not saying it is a bad loupe, just not as good as the Maxwell. Kind of like comparing a Summilux (Maxwell) to a Hektor (Schneider). That's what big time photo editors seem to use, so I just went along with the crowd. :-) Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch AAAAAA - American Association Against Acronym Abuse Anonymous
