But then the huge amount of deforestation which made the disaster so bad in the first place seemed to be a direct result of US and US multinational involvement/exploitation of the country. So I am sure they were glad to be helped out by the good old USofA, after all, they are, thanks to the US, the original "Banana Republic" Oh yes, and in Nicaragua, when the US Marines brought aid and assistance after the Hurricane, some people remembered the first time the Marines arrived in the country - only that time, they weren't bringing aid! And I don't believe you actually mentioned Monica and Marilyn in the same breath!!!
