My thought was: "what would we make of these images if they were of anonymous plumbers, carpenters, lawyers, or criminals (or are these last two redundant?)?<br> <br> Not much, I think. One can only sigh when the celebrity of the subject invests a photograph with a virtue apart from its esthetic value.<br> <br> And folks--it's not as though I don't have a life (pace the numerous recent posts).
