I picked up an M4-P recently in *excellent* condition for $750 (UKP 499), but you should be able to get a beat up but accurate M2 for around $600 (UKP 400). Now the lens. I would suggest a Summaron 35/3.5 if you're into w/a. They are SO cheap and very sharp compared to the equipment you quote. I picked up a beaten up but optically and mechanically perfect 35/1.4 on ebay for $650. I don't recommend ebay, however, unless you know how to check the gear over. If you really can't afford the M-stuff, check out the Canon 7 and associated lenses before you plump for a III. This Canon stuff has a charm all of its own, and like all Canon optics, the lenses have a particular charm all of their own (and are GREAT value). I think this gives you honorary LUG membership, but I'm new here so you should probably check. - -- Johnny Deadman "Oh, Lord, grant me the courage to change the things I can change, the serenity to accept those I cannot, and the wisdom to bury the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they were starting to piss me off".
