In my opinion, yes. The R5 doesn't have MLU, and the stutter time can be set in whole-stops only. Also, the longest interval you can set the R5 shutter to is 1/2 second, versus the 4 secs of the R7. Further, the R5 lacks DX coding, but I don't care much about that. For the rest, the R5 seems equal to the R7 in all main features and a very fine camera. It's not that I can't imagine using an R5, but the R7 is more advanced on some (small) points which I use and find convenient.
