I was thinking of where to set it when you actually mount the lens, since it
apparently presses on a little cam on the rangefinder.  I recall reading in the
manual that some lenses have to be set to a specific focus setting before they
are mounted, although nothing was said about the majority of other lenses.  I'm
just wondering what setting is least likely to stress the rangefinder mechanism
as I try to put the lens on the camera.
