Subject: [Leica] I am about to buy a Minilux

I am about to buy a Minilux Vario. It is pretty pricey but is it worth
the cost? I realize that the LEica M are special  cameras < which I
own>  but the P/S is the LEica value there or am I buying more hype than
camera. IF not what are the alternatives from the Vario or the straight
Minilux.
