I manufactured various sizes, actually I could fit any tripod. The "Steady Hook" mounted in the bottom of the tripod centerpost. It was a very substantial stainless steel hook. You could hang anything on it to stabilize your tripod. Putting weight on the centerpost is the proper way to stabilize camera vibration. I sold hundreds of these things. Galen Rowell even plugged them in one of his books. But I don't make them any more. No time. Gitzo now puts a hook on the bottom of their centerpost (gee... I wonder how they got the idea, since Manfroto was talking to me about the "Steady Hook" a few years ago !!!) . So, to stabilize a Gitzo CF tripod, hang something from the hook on the centerpost. Jim
