My favorite flash prior to the SB-25 for my Nikon F4 was/is the old Minolta 
320x. It was the same size as a Vivitar 283 except that it swiveled as well 
as bounced, had an easier to discern display and the adjustable power manual 
built it. They probably don't make them anymore, though.
