Jim I allready own the 1349 Gitzo. Question do I go out and buy the 1228
or  just stay with the 1349. AS for Ball heads I use the Linhof ProfII.
I think that the Linhof Quick Release System is better  than the Arca
Swiss. I owned the B-1 and sold it..
