Quite apart from the irrelevance of a lot of the personal attacks which unfortunately characterise the LUG from time to time, it's a tremendous waste of bandwidth. I have no wish to plough through 100+ messages a day (and rising) to pick out the pearls from the BS. If you have a bone to pick with an individual, go to private email and keep it off the LUG. The less posturing and the more Leica content in this forum, the better. Incidentally, I also belong to the MF Nikon forum at: NikonMF@onelist.com This is everything the LUG was in its early years: courteous, informative, helpful and not a flame in sight. If the Nikon guys can do it, why can't we?
