Subject: [Leica] Why wait Photokina 2000 ??

LUGers,

And why wait until september 2000 by the way.
The sooner, the better!

If that future M6 with aperture priority is not ready since years,
then it's not 100 persons they should fire, it's all the staff.
For the M3 they had the war as an excuse for the delay.

The same for the SLR focusing aid.
Leitz was the first to show a working AF SLR at the Photokina 1976,
and then again at Photokina 1978 and also 1980.
The Leicaflex SL2 Correfot Autofocus Leitz.

It's really a pity.
When one know the millions of DM spent in the R8 design...for that kind
of sales.
Only because that little option was missing.
If they can outsource the shutter, why not the focusing aid.
Yes I know, the motor also.

How is it viable to make battery packs in such a small quantity.
That was how Saab cars was working, now it's General Motors!

And that little M6 TTL 'improvement' that nobody was really waiting
for...
(As far as I know that camera is not even selling like the real M6
classic was,
but the classic M6 second hand market is going well, thank you).

Thank God, they make those wonderful lenses.

It's not to late, but a few more mistakes and...

Where is that Konica L, for the death blow.

:-(

Regards,

Lucien
