Guys,

Cool down on the Nicad only thing.  Now if Leica was as smart as Nikon was
with the F3 motor drive Nicad packs, as if you are handy you can replace the
batteries in those with some effort.  I had my whiz electrical engineering
cousin replace mine for cost of batteries plus some beer money.  I think we
should all keep it quiet until someone actually looks at one of the motors
and batteries in the flesh, to see if they were smart in the design for long
term life!  Maybe someone can engineer a AA clip for the R8!  Tom A to the
rescue?????
