You know it's funny, people (including some on this list) make pejorative assertions about the ethics of professional journalists, yet even the most *junior* of junior interns knows that you don't just pluck claims out of thin air and publish them as truth. Even if you *do* succeed in slipping such a claim past an editor, you most certainly don't resort to an ad hominem attack when asked for supporting evidence. David Morton dmorton@journalist.co.uk
