Atta boy, Rog! That's exactly what to do.
After a few months learning the use of the M6 meter, you'll know
better just what you must have a separate for which will lead to a
better meter selection. Unless your memory is better than mine
(most everybody's is, however), take a notebook, tape recorder
or Palm Pilot along and start making notes on what you metered,
and how, for your shots. Cumbersome, but the beginning of really
useful knowledge.
