There were no uncoated 1.4/35 Summiluxes ever produced.  Virtually every
lens produced by Leitz after 1946 was coated.  By 1961, when the 1.4/35
Summilux was introduced, every production Leica lens was hard-coated using
the Smakula vacuum-deposit process, as the Zeiss patent expired in 1955.
