Doggone it Ted!
The Single Malt thread again! Do you know how much consternation that has
caused me? I now have a shelf housing McCallans, Knockando, Lagavulin and
Talisker- and my poor wife thinks I have become a rummy!
Each has a personality that suits a specific mood, and each makes you see
bokeh in a different light, pardon the quip.
I guess that's why single malts intrigue Leicaphiles- the Knockando has a
sharp sweet taste, like a Summicron 50 it is very well defined; The
Lagavulin is like the Noctilux- complex, heavy but like nothing else. The
McCallans, well the 12 I have I suppose is like the 35 Summicron, broad and
encompassing, sharp but with a nice finish- I would suppose the 18 and 25
would be like the 35 Summilux and 35 ASH in turn, improvements, but more
costly!
Geez Louise! Now is ain't just cameras! :o}~
