I was lucky enough to find one that was being advertised at a processor here in Dallas by someone retiring for $300 (2.8F 120/220), But those situations are strictly a case of being in the right place at the right time. A nice clean 120 only model will probably start in the $400 range & go up. Users will most likely start in the $300-$350 range. When you say "current models" are you referring to the 2.8GX? A 2.8F or 3.5F with either Zeiss or Schneider lens will be the equal of a Hassy 500C with an 80 Planar (non-multicoated) or any other MF camera. SLR's are more versatile, but if you compare price-wise, $1,000 for a complete Hassy is low-end. Be very careful & check all functions, especially the lens panel for backward play. Lots of times the focusing is worn out. Most anything can be repaired, usually the minimum for Rollei repairs will be $100 to $150 & up, depending on parts, if needed & if available (most parts usually are still). - -----Original Message----- From: pwang1 [mailto:pwang1@home.com] Sent: Friday, August 27, 1999 6:39 PM To: leica-users Cc: rollei Subject: [Leica] Old Rolleiflex - what is the price range I am looking to buy some old Rolleiflex, just wonder if its image comparable with current models.
