I asked the Leica guy there about it and that was the first time he had ever heard that before. Although he did admit that he wasn't really an expert on these particular models. We looked through a couple references he had behind the counter, but didn't see and mention one way or the other. Even though the metering arm in the display moves continously between stops, he was a bit skeptical that the shutter was stepless. Does anybody have a reference that describes the shutter design, perhaps the original owners manual? I've been frequently annoyed in the past with the whole shutter speeds only on my R4 in manual mode. I would like to trade it the R4 in at some point for a R7 or R8 which have half-speeds in manual, but that will have to wait for awhile.TIA Tom Finnegan Seattle begin 600 WINMAIL.DAT M>)\^(C 1`0:0" `$```````!``$``0>0!@`(````Y 0```````#H``$(@ <` M& ```$E032Y-:6-R;W-O9G0@36%I;"Y.;W1E`#$(`0V ! `"`````@`"``$$ MD 8`8 $```$````,`````P``, (````+``\.``````(!_P\!````80`````` M``"!*Q^DOJ,0&9UN`-T!#U0"`````&QE:6-A+75S97)S0&UE:F%C+G!A;&\M M86QT;RYC82YU<P!33510`&QE:6-A+75S97)S0&UE:F%C+G!A;&\M86QT;RYC M82YU<P`````>``(P`0````4```!33510`````!X``S !````(@```&QE:6-A M+75S97)S0&UE:F%C+G!A;&\M86QT;RYC82YU<P````,`%0P!`````P#^#P8` M```>``$P`0```"0````G;&5I8V$M=7-E<G- ;65J86,N<&%L;RUA;'1O+F-A M+G5S)P`"`0LP`0```"<```!33510.DQ%24-!+55315)30$U%2D%#+E!!3$\M M04Q43RY#02Y54P```P``.0`````+`$ Z`0````(!]@\!````! ````````*4 M2@$$@ $`(0```%)%.B!;3&5I8V%=($QE:6-A9FQE>"!33"!3:'5T=&5R``(+ M`06 `P`.````SP<(`!H`"@`.`"\`! !#`0$@@ ,`#@```,\'" `:``D`'0`1 M``0`,P$!"8 !`"$````Q1$(S,30R135&-3E$,S$Q.4$V-S P,3 T0C(V-#@X M- #F!@$#D 8`' 4``!0````+`",```````,`)@``````"P`I```````#`"X` M``````,`-@``````0 `Y``"J>W_F[[X!'@!P``$````A````4D4Z(%M,96EC M85T@3&5I8V%F;&5X(%-,(%-H=71T97(``````@%Q``$````6`````;[OYG][ M+A2S'EE?$=.:9P`02R9(A ``'@`># $````#````35,``!X`'PP!````$0`` M`$5$34].1%,O4$E%+U1O;48``````P`&$,&(7$X#``<0)@,``!X`"! !```` M90```$E705-#2$5#2TE.1T]55$%33$5!4DQ)15)42$E35T5%2T%45$A%3$]# M04Q,14E#041%04Q%4BQ!3D1)4D5-14U"15)%1%1(051$3U5'04Y$4$522$%0 M4T]42$524TA!1$U%3E0``````@$)$ $```")`P``A0,``"@%``!,6D9UJC)R MOO\`"@$/`A4"I /D!>L"@P!0$P-4`@!C: K <V5T[C(&``;#`H,R`\8'$P*# M(C,/>FAE; ,@1&RZ9P* ?0J ",\)V3L6;W@R-34"@ J!#;$+8&[P9S$P,Q0@ M"PH2\@P!&F,`0" *A0J+;&DS!C8-\!H_($D@=V&7!" 1L 60:PN 9R (8,4% M0&$&`$P@90K ')!Q!) @=&@$`!X@">!KIQ\P!4 @$&4@%@!C!T#0($QE:2% M( VP!T#E!)
