I have an M4 that, after a CLA has a viewfinder close enough to the M6 to be called identical. The rangefinder image on the M4 seems to me to be a little stronger, especially in back-lit situations. I wear glasses though, so the M6 is nicer because of the rubber strip around the eyepiece. I WILL be investing in one of those for the M4. - -----Original Message----- From: wilcox [mailto:wilcox@tir.com] Sent: Thursday, August 26, 1999 8:29 AM To: leica-users Subject: [Leica] Re: M6 vs M3/M4-2: viewfinder brightness In my experience with a limited number of Ms the M6 finder is a little more contrasty looking than an M2 3 or four. Brightness is about the same. This does not seem to matter in use. The M6 finder is also more prone to flare. This does make a difference in use.
