We do use some auto focus equipment and for what we are doing with it (some candid images 4x5 to 8x10 inches) I find that it is very accurate. As to the price being 2-3 times- NO WAY! There is a proliferation of very low end auto focus glass out there and most of the quality glass is still less than that of Leica.(but look at the better built quality and the color and contrast-that's why Leica is up there) In fact I looked last night at a price comparison on Nikon auto focus and manual and in most cases they are the same, some the manual is higher and some the AF. I'd like to know what he's talking about. another point being that the glass that Minolta is making in the APO line is very reasonably priced. 80-200 F2.8 APO AF for under $1000.
