[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I have been typing steadily for an average 8-10 hours per day for 9 years. 6 years ago I discovered pain in my wrists and determined its source to be the horrid way my hands were deviated outwards while using the standard IBM keyboard, thereby causing pressure to impinge upon the median nerves within both wrists. If you use the standard computer keyboard, like zillions of others, look at the wrist/hand alignment while positioned for typing and you will see the same problem in front of you. This is a grossly unnatural posture for said joint. My solution? After extensive research I found Kinesis Corp which manufactures an outstanding keyboard which causes me to place my hands in a perfectly natural alignment because the keys are in convex placements. IOW, if I have my arms and hands hanging at both sides of my body and then raise both and place my hands on the Kinesis keyboard, the alignment at the hand/wrist joint does not change. Marvelous! I have not had any problems 6 years later!! I think Kinesis is at Kinesis.com. If not, do a search for their name and you will find it. Terry
