The "challenge" wasn't issued as some none-too-subtle dig at the "off-topic" topics, nor was it meant to be an attack on the eclecticism of the LUG - which is one of the LUG's more endearing aspects. Rather, the "Challenge" was issued much like Ted Grant's Pic-A-Day "challenge," to suggest that perhaps we sometimes loose sight of what our Leicas are for.. Dr. Blacktape is particularly surprised by those who suggest that a week devoted to only discussing photography per se - and that is, in effect, what the challenge was - would be dull week indeed. But, hey, different key strokes for different folks...:-)
