The Leica R lens-to-film distance is a fraction larger than the Nikon F LTF distance. So you can build up the Nikon camera body lens mount flange to get the same distance. This has been done to my Nikon F2A and apparently the conversion is complete - however the camera is still with the technician in NYC and I am on the other side of the world in Australia, and communications are *really* slow. (Grrr) (Will post details about this 3-month Nikon F2 -> R lens mount conversion once I get the camera back and get to try it out.) >Is there any way to use Nikon reflex lenses on R bodies? Maybe - here you have to build up the lens mount part of the *lens*. Chances are though that you will have to use it with the DOF information etc. at an odd angle. Ie. you mount the lens, but the lens info is rotated 123-degrees (or whatever) to the right of where it should be. Hence, you will have no apeture info in the viewfinder. However, I am just guessing about this. The people to speak to are: Professional Camera Repair, NYC, 1-212-382-0550 Regds, Andrew Nemeth nemeng.com
