Keep the high tech, clinical modern rubbish, its got no soul, no character. I had a Japanese sports motorbike, v fast v efficient and I've got an old British bike, that struggles at half the speed with brakes that don't work, and an engine that needs rebuilding every thousand miles, the Jap bike was boring, point and go, the brit bike takes me to a different level, I can't help grinning when I ride it, the engineering is crude by todays standards but I love it, it even smells good. If you are bloody minded enough to stick with it, getting there is all the more rewarding. Its not just about what is technically better. There aren't many skilled craftsmen left who can take a part and make it fit, it's all mundane assembly of CNC produced parts these days. That takes away job satisfaction, then your quality goes out of the window. Incidentally, Aston Martin still shape their cars with wooden hammers. Jason
