You can also trim the film leader a few more inches back and this makes 
loading a snap. You don't need a template or anything special. This gives
good loading every time without opening the door fiddling with the rewind
knob etc. A bit of a pain but worth it. The leaders were shortened for
autoload cameras some years back and this adversely affected the Leica
loading procedure
