I have a Texas Leica (Fuji GSW690II) and a Fuji GS645. The 645 is not much bigger than most 35mms and weighs only 820g.I shot about 50 rolls of 220 on a world trip recently with the 645. It is a superb travel camera. I started out with the 690 but shipped it home with other equipment that was too heavy. However, the 690 only weighs 1500 g and I intend to continue using it in the future as my main MF travel camera because I love those big negs. You will miss street shots with the big cameras that are easy with a Leica. The Leica is a fine mechanical and optical masterpiece that just feels right to many people. The Fujis are plastic/metal and make a rude twang when the shutter is released but the lenses are excellent. The big negs will win in a print contest, but, I have very good 16X20 leica prints. Having said the above, I sold my Leica to pay some bills, but, kept the Fuji 690. Later on I'll get another Leica. Bill Lawlor
