I have the 50mm Cannon  f/1.4 and it is a superb lens. It's a bit heavy to
carry and I normally use the Summicron but I don't see any need for a new
Leica 1.4 and the Cannon lens does have a focusing knob, More than, I can
say, than  the latest Summicron.
