Yup, a cheap little folder from Kodak, and it worked > >just fine. > > Hey, what do you mean cheap?????? In 1950 I sold all my college books to > be able to buy one. Worked for 20 years, wish I still had it. If you are talking about Retinas, I used two(IIIc and IIIC) of them during a 13 month and then another 15 month winterover in Antarctica 40 years ago. I left Norfolk, RI about Thanksgiving 1957 and the slides I sent home from Africa and places south are still beautiful. The Kodachromes of the Equator crossing(Pollywog to Shellback initiation looks better on slides than when being experienced on a Navy ship), ice, penguins, and Christmas parties buried deep under the snow continue to be a pleasure to family and friends. Great cameras especially since I could conveniently carry the camera under my parka no matter what work I was doing but quickly whip it out for a photo in -40 degree(colder and warmer) weather, put them back and get back to work. Guess my M6s will never be tested like the Retinas were because now my hands freeze up stiff in the cold so there will be no more Antarctic trips. Unfortunately Retinas are only good for a few thousand photos before their cocking mechanism wear out and apparently they are impossible to fix. Mine are up in the attic after spending hundreds of dollars in trying to have them repaired. Dale - --- $ dale-reed@worldnet.att.net Seattle, Washington U.S.A. $
