I have asked that they each bring their fastest, single focal length lens. I know for a fact that out of about 15 people, there will be at least 3 or 4 who do not own a fixed focal length lens. As far as taping the switches on the cameras to only operate on manual....well...let me tell you something. On my last workshop (last month) I spent at least 3 hours of my time trying to read their camera manuals just to figure it out myself. This time I told them to read their own manual and figure it out because I would not take the time to learn 6 or 7 camera systems over the weekend. > At 10:59 AM 7/23/99 -0700, you wrote: > > >If I had any choice in the matter, I would give each of them: > > > >1 - manual camera > >1 - 50mm (or 35mm) lens of large aperture > >100 - rolls of side film. > > > >Wow...what a great 3 days that would be! > > Dr. Blacktape Suggests... > > Bring a roll of Black Tape to the first session.
