As for me....many more years ago then I care to think about I held one of the pre-M series Leica cameras in a store. Must have been 10 or 12 years old. Hard to describe the sensation...here was something so special that no words could describe it. A visceral feeling of a wonderful machine. Years later when I was in another store, a patient of mine talked of a Leica M6 with several lenses for sale. I held the camera....love reborn! No explaining such feelings...not a rational way to put such into words. Almost as holding a special watch...the sensation of a machine that one can control. I wish Freud were here and and could explain such emotions. Irrational exhuberance before Greenspan. Hooked for life. Still an amateur...still love Leica...embarassed to admit it. Elliot
