I use the Leica M6 because I like it, and it matters not a bit if it's someone else's 3rd-place choice. I'd sooner try the competition myself, and come to my own conclusions. Leica and Ferrari are in a similar boat, in that they get a lot more press coverage than they really deserve: I guess the high-priced luster sells magazines! Very cleverly, less-expensive products are held up for indirect comparison. Can't afford a Ferrari? Why here's something lots more affordable, and it has room for the kids too..! Everyone walks away feeling like a winner. Jeff PS: My favorite US photo magazines might include Outdoor Photographer in place of Popular Photographer or Leica Fotographie. Shutterbug, I read sparingly, and mostly if a particular issue happens to have lots of coverage on something I want to know (other than why Bob Shell's models never look happy)
