Leica sells a back-to-back adapter, 14838, which they call a "coupling ring". Costs a mere pittance. Whyever would you MAKE one?<< The problem with the Leica adapter is that (1) it doesn't work with all lenses and (2) it has a hole through the middle (it's more of a ring than a cap) so it really doesn't act as a complete rear lens cap unless BOTH lenses are attached. With only one lens attached, the rear element is still exposed. I have a couple of the coupling rings, but I also have a couple pairs of rear caps that I epoxied together and the latter are much more useful to me. I'm not sure, but I think they might be cheaper too.
