The Elmar follows the basic Tessar design: from the front (outside) to back (the film end), it has a single element, a single element, and a doublet. The usual position for the diaphragm is immediately in front of the doublet; in the collapsible Elmar, the diaphragm is behind the front element. The 4/90 Elmar-C and the three-element Elmar, of course, have different optical designs. Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
