Dick,

Yes I did.

IMO, this flash is great for fill-in with the R8.

For other purpose it may not be powerful enough and the fixed head will
not help to improve the quality of your picts.

That said, it is a much better made and much more user friendly than the
other Metz flash.
The Leica touch made the difference here.

I still look forward for a Leica SF-36  like the Nikon SB-26/28.
