I, too, have found this lens to have an impressive image quality in 
both the normal and macro modes.  My only gripe is that the focus 
ring needs a bit more effort to turn than, say, a 50 Summicron, but I 
can't say whether that trait is a consequence of design or of a need 
for new lubrication.
