I can sure appreciate f/1 capability but I tend to wish the 75mm f/1.4 would come to me first. Any good ideas ? Well I have both and whilst the 75 is more of an all round lens with more consistent performance stop to stop, the Noctilux is rather specialised in application. Only you know which you will use most. If you are only comparing the overall image quality I would hand the biscuit to the 75. The 75 frames are very much an acquired taste/source of problems IME. I suggest you take a good long look at your own photographs and imagine for yourself which situations would actually benefit from having one or other lens and then consider whether you would have been likely to have these relatively heavy optics with you at the time... As an aside, I find it amazing how many people select lenses for reasons other than what they need or would use in real life. Good luck deciding, Adrian p.s. though I have, use and love most of the M lenses I tend to stick to the 35 and 50 compact lenses for most of my work.
