It adds a little more to the bottom of the camera (for you "big Hands people") and the increased weight (not alot, just enough) allows a little more oommphff! (can't think of the word I want!- something about a body always returning to rest....) I have one on my M6 and shoot down to 1/15th if I haven't had coffee/tea/Pepsi!!!!
