You need the older style tube that has its own aperture ring. This is the one that you set both the aperture on the lens to f22 and the aperture on the tube to f22 before mounting so that the aperture ring on the tube engages properly. The new tube has no aperture ring, but is a more traditional extention tube with linkages to maintian autoexposure on the R series. It does not have the two cams requred by the sl2.
