The initial weeks of setup and troubleshooting were definitely challenging for me, but I seem to have gotten over the hump, and am pretty tickled about it all--it looks slick (kde and Gnome/Enlightenment environments), is solid, and seems to be evolving at an astonishing rate. As you are new to this, do back up at least some of the more critical data files from your Windows partitions or drives before you begin the Linux install--I'm really glad I did!
