Last Monday I bought a 35mm summicron privately from a great guy in the Midwest(US). With COD, I won't see the lens until tomorrow. There was a parade and many demonstrations here in Boston on Saturday. I found myself backing up about 15 feet(50mm) quite a bit while shooting, each time feeling the sharp prickly pain of "I wish I had that 35 right now". Maybe tomorrow I'll notify you when the UPS guy gets here with the lens, and you can live vicariously through me, if not for at least for a few minutes. Obviously I'll be completely useless all afternoon here at work, fondling the focusing lever and shooting pictures of my water cup and pencil mug. Breathe deeply and relax. It's cruel and unfair, but the pain will subside eventually. sympathetically, Paul >From: "Lee, Ken" <ken.lee@hbc.com> >Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us >To: "'Leica Users'" <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> >Subject: [Leica] The agony of the wait. >Date: Mon, 14 Jun 1999 14:18:44 -0400 > >I need the support of people who understand...... >Last Saturday, after long deliberation I packed up my Minivan with all my >4X5 equipment, a Jobo CPE processor, a 1000ws Dynalite location kit, a >Bronica ETRS and 250mm lens and went to my local Leica dealer.
