I have begun to estimate DOF at the three focal lengths based on years of using Leica glass, resorting to the table (I keep a copy in my bag) only when I need the precise calculations. Perhaps other T/E users who are more mathematically inclined have found a pattern in the DOF table that could lead to a "compute in the head" approach.///Dick Baznik _______ At 12:03 PM 6/13/99 -0700, Mike wrote: >When I am shooting outdoors in sunlight, I often set my aperture, and >then crank the infinity mark over to the the DOF mark for that aperture. >Then I don't need to bother focusing, and I know I am getting the >maximum depth of field for the circumstances. > >Is there any simple way of retaining this capability when the lens is >missing the DOF marks?
