I am looking at one right now, purchased almost 2 months ago, stamped Made in Germany on the barrel. - -----Original Message----- From: Dan Cardish [mailto:dcardish@microtec.net] Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 1999 10:25 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] What my dealer told me about the new 90/2 Apparently, Leica manufactured a small number of APO-ASPH Summicrons in Canada before deciding to retool back in Germany. These lenses made their way to market, and account for the few that have been available, and also their scarcity (none are in Canada, as far as he knows). When retooling is completed, regular production of the lens should commence. I expect initial shipments of the lens to accompany the R8 motor drive ;-) Dan C.
