The worst filters I have encountered in the last 40 years came from H&H.
Some Series VII filters made in the 60's, with excessively thick glass,
non-parallel faces and a slight barrel shape on one face. I ran across
about 6 of them.

Speaking of non-parallel surfaces on filters, I've had examples of this
from all manufacturers and suppliers (Hoya, Tiffen, H&H, Canon, Leica,
Heliopan, B+W, etc) except Nikon. Maybe I just haven't bought enough Nikon
filters, but I am up to about 40 from them.
